Over the 2017 Splendour in the Grass weekend, I was lucky enough to spend the weekend at Byron Bay’s picturesque, The Atlantic with my Kiehl’s family. Kiehl’s was this years exclusive beauty partner of Australia’s most widely- respected music festival, Splendour in the Grass.
They are without doubt at the core of my beauty regime, day and night (my skincare regime coming soon!). I couldn’t be more obsessed with their all natural ingredients, keeping my face and skin glowing!
Here is what went down over my insanely busy weekend with #KIEHLSXSPLENDOUR.
Leaving early Friday morning, Laura, myself and the rest of the Kiehl’s X Splendour Sydney family jetted up to the beautiful Byron Bay.
After checking into the stunning, The Atlantic we were spoilt with a beautiful welcome lunch on the deck. We clinked glasses and began the energy filled weekend ahead with a bang!
After the delicious lunch spread we spent some time unpacking and admiring the beautiful surroundings of our weekend humble abode. The Atlantic felt more like a Bali villa (and yes, fitted with an insane outdoor shower! #heaven) rather than your standard hotel and of course immaculately decorated and endlessly stocked with my favourite Kiehl’s products to get me through my weekend and beyond.
And with a quick spritz of the Kiehl’s Cactus Flower and Tibetan Ginseng Hydrating Mist the shenanigans began…
Day one highlights: Tash Sultana, Haim & The XX
This was the day of all days… Kiehl’s Natures Playground event at The Atlantic, followed by the Nana Judy Party at Angus Stone’s property. BRING . IT . ON !
After sending day one off with a bang, we started day two off with one of the yummiest breakfast smoothies and an ever-so-invigorating rinse off in our insane outdoor shower! You’ll spot the Kiehl’s Amino Acid shampoo & conditioner in there, along with their Ultra Facial Skin Cleanser. The amazing team from Edwards & Co then tamed my mane into a beautiful wavy do and topped her off with one the prettiest flower crown’s and boom I was sure dressed for the occasion, hello Kiehl’s #naturesplayground brunch!
With bubbles or a spritzer’s in hand guests had smiles from ear to ear as the beautiful Byron Bay weather turned it on, it really could have been summer! Welcome to Kiehl’s very own Natures Playground side event – turned garden party!
As the official skincare partner of the festival, Kiehl’s teamed up with Melbourne’s indie-pop duo, Client Liaison to release a limited-edition version of their bestselling Ultra Facial Cream. Throughout July and August, Kiehl’s will donate $2 from each of the creams sold to The Australian Children’s Music Foundation, an organisation that brings the gift of music to children living in disadvantaged and remote areas of Australia.
These special guests rocked up to Kiehl’s intimate Natures Playground garden party in their white limousine and graced us with their incredible stage presence and immaculately choreographed dance moves and we danced our little hearts off to “World of our love”.
After Client Liaison we headed straight into the Byron hinterland to Australian Fashion label Nana Judy ‘s party on Angus Stone’s 140 acres.
One thing about Splendour: everyone, especially brands – is having a party! That being said, we didn’t make day two of the festival! Byron Bay was too much fun…
We managed to get in a good nights sleep last night, so we were feeling very fresh for a huge day three!
First stop, brunch at Three Blue Ducks, The Farm, my first time here and it definitely won’t be my last… The breakfast cocktails and food weren’t the only highlight, the serenity was amazing! Following brunch we all piled straight into the Kiehl’s bus with our personal driver Scotty and onto the Festival bright and early to check out the Kiehl’s pop up container where they were giving festival go-er’s free facials.
We spent a few hours running around the festival before heading home to The Atlantic for our final round of drinks on the deck & our last supper. The infamous seafood Dinner with Dez & spread by Harvest… Then onto the festival for the last hurrah to see LCD Sound System close the show!
Festival Highlights: Tove Lo, Stormzy, LCD Sound System
