Written by Lara for Beachgold Bali.
Chloe Chapman is a force to be reckoned with. This bubbly beauty can be seen anywhere from Bali to Sydney, LA to Fiji. But don’t be fooled, although she is a global jet setter, Chloe always manages to live by the “work hard, play hard” motto. With just the right amount of balance, Chloe’s mix of work includes being the founder of internationally recognised bikini label Aloe Swimwear, an ambassador for health and wellness brands (Nike, Fiji Water to name a few), modeling and social media influencer all whilst having some fun in the making!
A multi-tasking, fun-loving, hard-working woman, Chloe has created a life that she loves and inspires others to do the same. We’ve been lucky enough to crossed paths with this beauty in Bali on a few occasions. On her last trip we managed to pull together a last minute shoot with Chloe, photographed by Josh Patil featuring Aloe Swimwear x Beachgold pieces. See photos and our 5-minute interview with Chloe below…
Nickname: Straight up Chloe (how boring…)
Describe your job…
I am the Founder of Australian reversible swimwear label Aloé Swimwear (@aloeswimwear). Being head designer (and the rest…) I design and sell 2 collections of reversible swim a year. All my swimwear is manufactured in Bali so I am lucky to be able to call the beautiful island my second home!
Where is home?
Home is North Narrabeen, one of Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
What are you thoughts on blogging/social media?
Social media is such a huge part of everyone’s day to day life these days. From a brand perspective it plays an integral part in our sales and revenue. Not only does it give my label a voice and persona, it’s where most of our website traffic comes from. I do believe however as times are evolving, something new will come into the market very soon and shake things up so its best to not become to reliant on one platform, you just never know when Instagram or Facebook is going to be the new Myspace 😉 Stay on your toes people!
Take us through your typical day:
My office is only 10 minutes up the street from where I live so I don’t have to wake too early to be on time. Generally, I check my emails and socials from bed of a morning and then up, showered and out the door in about 30 mins. Im not much of a morning person though, but I do like to start my day with a walk and coffee. I try to be in the office for the full day, unless I am out at meetings, then off to the gym of an evening for a class or a yoga session.
Traveling makes you feel…
Alive! Although I am all about routine, travelling helps me keep on my toes and motivated, it gives me something to look forward to. I love exploring new places and meeting new people. Im lucky enough to be able to set up my office wherever I am, as long as I have my laptop, phone and hard drive. It’s just about getting the work done and keeping on top of things that can be tricky whilst on the road… You only live once though, so when an awesome opportunity pops up, how can you say no?
If you didn’t own Aloe Swimwear what would you be doing?
I would probably be working in Advertising, Events Management or Tourism. I absolutely LOVE organising and planning things!
What is one thing most people wouldn’t know about you?
Im an OCD clean freak and cant go to sleep at night unless everything in my house is put in place, nothing can be left out or on the floor!
Favourite travel destination?
Anywhere tropical or on the water!
Who inspires you?
My friends, my family, everyone around me are in completely different industries and are so happy and content. I mean, I have friends who are teachers, nurses, in finance, the corporate world, athletes, who own shops; you name it I have someone close to me who dominates in their area. Im pretty lucky!
