Some insane health benefits about this little miracle before we delve into Sam’s recipe of goodness:

  1. Digestion Digestion Digestion! Good wholesome, wholegrain oats are a great way to obtain fibre in the diet, they are so diverse and can be adapted to any flavour. We need to digest to be able to eliminate toxins from the body and further more enable energy regulation through the body. All the goodness we absorb through our diet “Proteins, Carbs, Fats plus our Vitamins and Minerals” are all absorbed and dependant on each other via our digestion.
  2. Combine this with the benefits of Cranberries, Rhubarb and Apples, all obtaining a good natural dose of Vitamin C helps give our bodies a kick of immune fighting properties and natural sweetness. Rhubarb is high in natural dietary fibre and has been linked to aiding in digestion and help easing neural concentration, with the added citrusy sweetness of cranberries, these guys pack a large punch of immunity, help decrease blood pressure and are also a great way to limit UTI’s.
  3. This breakfast inhibits all the goodness you need to look after yourself both internally and the energy you need externally. If you don’t eat it all simply keep in a sealed jar in the fridge. Serve the oats as a bircher and the compote as a sweet wholesome topping to sweets or any sweet meal in general.
